Portuguese Repository Infrastructure RCAAP

About This Case Study

This case study focuses on the use of the Portuguese publication repository infrastructure for OS and address the knowledge diffusion via collaborations and the visibility of individual research institutions, and collaboration.

It will address the knowledge diffusion via collaborations between academia and industry, and the visibility of individual research institutions making use of the national repository infrastructure RCAAP, by

  1. monitoring the use and uptake of open access publications
  2. doing a citation and network analysis to derive collaborations in specific domains, regions and industry sectors
  3. comparing results with a similar-sized country with non-OA infrastructure, like Greece

The RCAAP dump for the years 2015-2020 will be used, eliminating publications from Brazil repositories and journals and proceed to the deduplication of institutions (if they are found) and author names. Finally, metrics - citations, views and downloads - provided by OpenAIRE usage statistics will be analysed.
