E-Learning Course
Coming in Q2/2025

The PathOS E-learning Course will provide a comprehensive learning experience on the impact of Open Science, featuring key outputs and methodologies developed within the PathOS project. This self-paced course will include recordings of expert-led training webinars, interactive modules, insights from case studies exploring the academic, societal, and economic impacts of Open Science. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the latest methodologies for assessing Open Science practices, discover key indicators and frameworks, and engage with real-world examples.

Whether you are a researcher, policymaker, or Open Science advocate, this course will equip you with the tools and knowledge to better understand and measure Open Science’s influence across different domains.

Train-the-Trainer Course with UKRN

The PathOS Train-the-Trainer Course, in partnership with the UK Research Network (UKRN), will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to evaluate the impact of Open Science using the PathOS Open Science Indicator Handbook. This comprehensive course, held online on 12th March 2025, will focus on understanding and assessing the Key Impact Pathways of Open Science, encompassing academic, economic, and societal impacts. Participants will learn to use measurement tools from the PathOS Open Science Indicator Handbook and explore the complexities of causal inference in Open Science.

In addition to the content on Open Science impacts, the course will include a pedagogical unit designed to empower attendees to deliver PathOS content within their own institutions. By the end of the training, participants will be able to assess impact pathways, employ measurement tools, and understand the causal mechanisms driving Open Science’s influence.

Eligibility: This training is only available to representatives from UKRN institutions who have been selected to participate. Recording from the PathOS Handbook lesson will be avalilble through PathOS E-Learning.
